You can be in the heart of New York in as little as 90 minutes by train. If you are traveling by air, you have many options within an hour’s drive, including Tweed New Haven Regional Airport (20 minutes), Westchester County Airport (50 minutes), or Bradley International Airport (60 minutes).

In addition to the local shops, parks, and restaurants, Silver Sands State Park and the Connecticut Audubon Society’s Coastal Center at Milford Point offer opportunities for year-round outdoor fun and education. Throughout the year visitors and residents alike are able to enjoy arts festivals, a summer concert and movie series, a farmers market, and the famed Milford Oyster Festival.  The Connecticut Post Mall, in the heart of Milford, boasts more than 150 stores, 25 restaurants, a 14 screen theater and IMAX. Milford’s Boston Post Road (Route 1) affords more shopping and recreation, from indoor mini-golf to large stores like Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, and Costco.
